Louis Rodman Whitaker is a Detroit Tigers lifer. Whitaker spent his entire career with the Detroit Tigers, where he has a lifetime batting average of .276 with 244 home runs and 1,084 RBIs. He accumulated 2,369 hits and alongside Allen Trammell, was the longest running double play combination in MLB History. Despite being World Series champion (1984) AL Rookie of The Year (1978) and a five-time All-Star, Whitaker isnt in the MLB Hall of Fame. Why was that?
